2019 – Album “Digiyo Digiye” Remastered

Black Finits debut full-length album, Digiyo Digiye, released in 2015 contained 11 songs on a limited CDR format that sold out in an instant. The 11 songs, most of which have Indonesian lyrics, were produced by Grayce Soba. The first album of the Albert Gerson unFinit music project released by Gong Waning Production will now be re-released by DoggyHouse Records in digital format. Besides that, Black Finit is also still in the studio for the mixing process of the mastering of his latest album, Tana.

Digiyo Digiye is a term coined by Gerson which turns out to be similar to terms in Papua. Digiyo Digiye itself is defined by Gerson as a term for guerrillas in and out of the forest.

In his reggae bandage with a powerful bass boom, Digiyo Digiye tells a lot about the outpouring of the head of the man born in Maumere during his life in Yogyakarta. Starting from "Di Jogja" about the warm smile of the peaceful city of Gudeg, the love that flows sincerely as it is in "Mari Bercinta" to the lyrics "maling - thieves of fellow thieves, belly - belly sticking out at each other" in the song "beg for forgiveness".

His experience on the streets made him sensitive to the situation of the people around him. Dedy Dewi's popular song is a recording of her experience with a friend who works as a construction worker during the day, but stays at the red lights as a transvestite at night. In that song he wrote that there is nothing wrong, nothing is right, life is a choice. People who know Black Finit will immediately smile at a sentence that is very typical of him. Black Finit, really appreciate differences, and critical thinking. He rejects the status quo and dreams of an equal society (Eka Putra, 2020)

The cover artwork previously released by Gerson is now reinterpreted with hand strokes and a digital twist. This artwork in the form of a bird painting is analogous to "I (who) is free as a bird but returns to the same tree" said Gerson when interpreting his hand scratches. The Black Finit - Digiyo Digiye album can be enjoyed through digital channels such as iTunes, Spotify, Deezer and so on starting June 21, 2019 to coincide with the world music day (World Music Day).
